Monthly Meeting January 30th 2026: Ventnor History Quiz Night

Our first Society Meeting for the new year will be on Friday 30 January 2026, when we will be holding a Ventnor History Quiz Night, and a January Sale.

The Quiz will feature around 50 questions organised into two general Ventnor knowledge rounds, a Pub Quiz round about local drinking establishments, a picture round, and a trivia round. The questions will range from easy(ish) to fiendishly obscure. We hope it will be both fun and informative. You will be able to compete individually or in teams up to four people. The winning person or team will get awesome bragging rights, a £20 credit in the Heritage Centre shop and maybe additional prizes.
January Sale: Everything Must Go!
And in addition to the quiz, there will be a sale of surplus, duplicate, or non-Ventnor related items. These items will all be offered on the evening with no reserve on a first come, first served basis in return for cash/card donations.
The bar in the Masonic Hall will be open, as it was for one of the meetings last year, and it should be a good night. Be sure to get there early to have a rummage and pick up a heritage bargain! It’ll also be an opportunity to renew your membership for 2026, if you haven’t already done so.

The meeting will be held in the  Yarborough Masonic Hall, Grove Road, Ventnor, 7.30 – 9.00 pm.
All Welcome: Admission free for Society members, £4 for non-members.
