Description

Subtitled Ventnor, the Isle of Wight, and Operation Overlord, this book has been published to mark the 80th anniversary of the landings in Normandy, and the title Oh Day of Days! is from an entry in the RAF Ventnor logbook from just after 10 am on D-Day. Incorporating new material deposited in the archive, as well as the latest research, this book is able to focus on Ventnor and the Isle of Wight and the memories of some of those involved.

This is a significantly revised revised and updated version of  the booklet D-Day and Operation Overlord by Peter Bray (a founding member of the Society) in 1994 to mark the 50th anniversary of D-Day.
