Tanglewood (Steephill)

Tanglewood is a distinctive property opposite the Botanic Gardens and was once part of the Steephill Estate.  Originally built as the gardener’s cottage it was later (between 1945 and 1948) bought by the Royal National Hospital to provide a few quiet rooms for night staff and also a Matron’s flat. It is now a private residence.
