Three doctors and the climate of the Undercliff Part 2. Dr. George A Martin lived lived at Belgrave House (later the Belgrave Hotel) and commented on the impassable roads in his book of 1849, and on improvements made by the Local Board to roads and sewers.  Dr John L Whitehead married his daughter and took over his practice when he died in 1867.
