WW2 – National Registration Day

National Registration Day 29 September 1939. This date marked the start of WW2, when people were asked to register for food rationing.  Mentions Celia Heasman whose father was manager of the International Stores. The shop was bombed in 1942 but the family were fortunately elsewhere. By Lesley Telford.
