Morris dancing at Bonchurch School. Thomas Stears was headmaster of Bonchurch Village School from 1883 until his death in 1903 and the family had an interest in folk music and in the Esperance Morris Dancing movement. Members of the family mentioned, or pictured, include wife Susanna, and daughters Annie and Elizabeth, as well as uncle Joshua, Emily Agnes Stears, Sheila Anderson, and Ian Armstrong.
